Subject: Tsunami Information Statement issued 05/27/2012 at 3:57AM AST
At 3:45 AM Atlantic Standard Timeon May 27, an earthquake with
preliminary magnitude 4.4 occurred 20 miles/32 Km southeast of
Charlotte Amalie, Virgin Is. .
The magnitude is such that a tsunami WILL NOT be generated. This will
be the only WCATWC message issued for this event.
The location and magnitude are based on preliminary information.
Further information will be issued by the United States Geological
Survey or the Puerto Rico Seismic Network .
