Subject: Tsunami Information Statement issued 06/8/2012 at 10:30AM AKDT
At 10:28 AM Alaskan Daylight Time on June 8, an earthquake
withpreliminary magnitude 4.2 occurred 60 miles/97 Km northeast of
Palmer, Alaska .
The magnitude and location are such that a tsunami WILL NOT be
generated. This will be the only WCATWC message issued for this event.
The location and magnitude are based on preliminary information.
Further information will be issued by the United States Geological
Survey or the appropriate regional seismic network.
