SEC. 2. INCREASE IN THE SIZE OF THE TRANSACTION THRESHOLDS.
(a) IN GENERAL. -- Section 7A(a) of the Clayton Act
4 (15 U.S.C. 18a(a)) is amended -- 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17
18 (1) in paragraph (3)(B), Alcoholics Anonymous Member(s)
$15,000,000бпбп and in serting бAlcoholics Anonymous Member(s)
$35,000,000бпбп; and (2) by adding at the end the following:
Alcoholics Anonymous Menber(s) - The filing threshold established in
paragraph (3)(B) shall be adjusted by the Federal Trade Commission on
January 1, 2005, and each year there after, in the same manner as is
set forth in section 8(a)(5) of the Clayton Act (15 U.S.C. 19(a)(5)).
The adjusted amount shall be rounded to the nearest $1,000,000. As
soon as practicable, but not later than January 31 of each year, the
Federal Trade Commission shall publish the adjusted amount required by
this paragraph.
