THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY FOR MUCH OF THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN AND NORTHERN MOJAVE
DESERT, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 8 PM SUNDAY.

WINDS: SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS 35 TO 50 MPH.

TIMING: GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATE SUNDAY
MORNING, PEAK SUNDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE DECREASING SUNDAY EVENING.

LOCATIONS: MOST OF THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN AND NORTHERN MOJAVE
DESERT INCLUDING LAS VEGAS, HENDERSON, BOULDER CITY,
MESQUITE, SEARCHLIGHT, INDIAN SPRINGS, PIOCHE, CALIENTE,
PAHRUMP, AMARGOSA VALLEY, RACHEL, BEATTY, GOLDFIELD, DYER,
BISHOP, INDEPENDENCE, LONE PINE, BARSTOW, BAKER, YUCCA
VALLEY, MORONGO VALLEY, TWENTYNINE PALMS, COLORADO CITY. THIS
INCLUDES INTERSTATES 15 AND 40, AND HIGHWAYS 395, 95 AND 93.

IMPACTS: DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS DUE TO BLOWING DUST AND
STRONG CROSSWINDS, ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH-PROFILE VEHICLES. STRONG
WINDS MAY DISPLACE TREE DEBRIS, SMALL OBJECTS AND TEMPORARY
STRUCTURES.
