Norvsky tops field in Ralph M. Hinds
Sunday is closing day at Fairplex, and featured on the card is the
$100,000 Ralph M. Hinds Handicap. Norvsky, runner-up in the Hinds one
year ago, is favored Sunday after finishing fourth behind BC Mile
hopefuls Obviously and Mr Commons at Del Mar.

starts, in Sunday's $85,000 Promenade All Stakes for New York-breds.

Wilkes emerges with star Fort Larned

Ian Wilkes-trained Fort Larned, off a rousing victory in the Grade 1
Whitney Handicap last month at Saratoga, will be one of the favorites
next Saturday, Sept. 29, in the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup at
Belmont Park. As usual, the race will be a major prep for the $5
million Breeders' Cup Classic. Marty McGee has the story.
